Terry initially trained in Anthropology and comparative religion focusing on a cross cultural analysis of various shamanic and mythological practices as they relate to healing and community development. Traditional medicine ways has been the focal point as a path of reconnecting the body, mind and soul to the land in order to heal and transition.

He is a Senior Ceremonial Leader and initiated Shaman in the tradition of Spirit of the Earth Medicine Society. He is the Director of Emerging From Within wherein he has been in private practice as a Transpersonal Psychotherapist for over ten years.

He has a diverse background in Community Development, Community Mental Health, In-patient Psychiatry, Prison Counselling, Bush Fire Recovery and an educator in Counselling, Art Therapy and Shamanic Practices.

Bachelor of Social Work (Hons) Development of a client’s spirituality as a treatment for depression.
